Looks like the trading block’s got Kravtsov and Leschyshyn
Sounds like it’s time for the Ranger’s to make a decision
Makin’a trade like this makes Lafrenière expendable
And now to the trade the guy is rather amendable
Add in a first, now you’re cooking with gas
Package for Patty Kane is how they outlast
But they gotta get some extra retention in
An extension in place, now he’s clenchin’ in
Anaheim retains a quarter now retention is doubled
Send the Ducks a third and a prospect for their trouble
Now to be cap compliant send Goodrow back to where he came from
Get a couple picks from the Lightning, now you made off with a ransom
No one will notice if they're over by 50 G's

Tampa doesn't have the cap space to take back Goodrow. They currently have 710k available so unless you take back a contract for 2.9 Mil the deal is not working. You can send Montreal Goodrow but we will ask for Lafreniere or a 1st to do that since it will strictly be as a cap dump like Monahan was.

Tampa could always find a sucker to take the buried Philippe Myers contract. And trade the Namestnikov contract. But TB has 3 players whose salaries take a significant jump next season. Sergachev, Cernak and Cirelli. So they can't afford to take Goodrow back.

So we create a hole on LW to temporarily fill a RW spot? We also get softer for the playoffs? Just really doesn't make sense.

Long and short...I do agree he's not remotely "expendale", BUT what if Kaner says he's willing to extend for a reasonable contract? Can you really keep him? There shouldn't be any reasonable doubt that Kaner >>> Laf in this cup window.

You clearly don't look beyond what the Rangers want . Personally I'd love to have Goodrow back however he was never going to be affordable to TB at that price good luck.

They probably try to move Goodrow and go with Dominique as backup.
Tarasenko hasn't played/showed enough to get extended.
That is for Drury to slove but he said that first and kid line is not available...

I agree with that too, poorly played by CHI management but also Kane (the situation I mean).

Hard to point a finger at either of them imo. We as fans ask for honesty and transparency. We got it. I'm hopeful if Kaner sees a screw over attempt like a 2nd Kravstov, Leschyshyn...he responds appropriately and says look don't punish me for being honest. I'll go straight to CAR if you're trying to screw us over. Let's be fair to each other. Hopefully cooler heads prevail. I feel like the Hawks are giving even if it's just 1st alone. Tons of worse guys are going for way more.
