Description
per Dregger Caps are now in on Chychrun, although he's not the most reliable of them he is an actual insider. This is what I think the framework would be for a deal. LeBrun also linked Eller and Jensen to COL and his price was a lot higher than I would've thought lol.

That’s a super hard no from COL. Why would COL trade a 1st for a 3rd pairing dman and bottom 6 forward?

Exactly, and people don’t really know how to read, he didn’t link them, he gave his opinion and he wondered about eller and then tossed in Jensen in his opinion on how he thinks the caps can get a 1st out of the deal.

Jensen is a 3d on a good team, much better than Manson, MacDermid, and Hunt. And I wouldn't have said they would get this much too but from LeBrun today:

"I wonder about Colorado as a potential landing spot for Eller. The problem is, the Avs don’t have a second- or third-round pick this year or next. I can’t imagine they would trade a first for Eller. They traded some prospects last year at the deadline. … If I’m Washington, I call the Avs and try to entice them on a bigger package involving both Eller and one of their defensemen"

Eller and Jensen aren't returning no 1st round pick. Jensen=2nd round pick Eller=4th round pick at best.

Capitals are becoming the joke of the league, They're trending down and one of the oldest teams in the league. Going after Chychrun makes no sense for them. once Ovie retires they need to seriously look at rebuilding not kicking the can down the road.

That isn’t the plan tho. We are retooling on the fly and flipping assets

Time and time again has proven that retooling on the fly never works, Especially when you have the oldest core in the NHL and your prospect pool is basically non-existent.

He isn’t much better than Makar, Toews, Byram, and Girard. That’s 4 dman he’s a 3rd pairing guy in a healthy COL line up, and I think it’s very debatable if he is better than Manson. Regardless COL isn’t sending their only pick in the first 5 rounds of the last 2 drafts for 2 over 30 pending UFA’s. Hard no.

That’s still our plan and maybe it could work. Also during our coach would make this team a lot better too. That’s are main problem this year

He's not better than Makar, Toews, Byram, or Girard but that just means Colorado is a really good team, not that Jensen isn't also good. It's not at all debatable that he's better than Manson lol. Once again I would be very surprised if this was the return but I didn't come up with it, and generally guys like LeBrun have a much better idea of what guys around the league go for than we do.

"aren't returning no" double negative is a strong sign of a brilliant mind

He's def better than Girard. but its pointless to have this conversation with people that arent familiar with Jensen's game. Sound like the same people that said Orlov was bottom pairing and wouldn't get a 1st lol

i cant tell if you are really "smart" or just blindly passionate. Impossible to argue with how well the Rangers retooled went but yes congrats to the Wings on winning a hockey game

Wings are like 9-3 in their last 12 games, So it's more than just winning a hockey game. And we still beat you guys without our best player on the ice. Even with Ovie back in the lineup they couldn't beat a bad Anaheim team. Washington is toast even in the long run.

thats what happens when you were one of the best teams of the last decade +.... again dumb / obvious thought process lol

Wings are mid AF and are about to pay Larkin top dollar for being a ppg player. also have Chariot signed to a massive deal. paying Maataa 3m to be a bottom pairing guy? congrats on the success lol

Sounds like somebody that doesn’t watch Girard. Jensen on the Avs is 100% a 3rd pairing guy. That doesn’t impact his value to anybody but the Avs. The Avs literally would laugh at that offer.
