Can we not try Mitch with somebody else to start the PK? Like how many shorties did Lafferty have with Chicago?

The amount of interference Avs are getting away with in OT is beyond ridiculous

Refs literally gave them 5 pps and us 3....

If it wasnt for McCabe's Dang-It got a feeling Sammy would have got his 4th shutout and we would have won

RIP we suck at shootouts

But man refs really wanted Avs to win 3 blatant missed calls including 2 in OT.

We are taxing our core guys, tonight:
Marner - 29:10
Matthews - 26:52
Nylander - 21:12
Tavares - 19:57
Brodie - 19:27

And then wonder why in Game 4 of the playoffs our guys look gassed.

You dress 7 D, and then there is no 3rd line.
The thing that surprises me is that in November, when Muzzin, Brodie and Reilly (do I have that right?) all were out - they still went with 6 D and trusted that Timmins, Lilly and Rasmus could carry the load.

When Rielly went down on Nov.23 (and Muzzin/Brodie out) they used:
Gio Holl
Sandin Liljegren
Benn Hollowell

What I can’t stand about 11/7 is there is no consistency to the lines. They used over 10 different combinations tonight with the forwards

The difference there is they didnt have 9 good Dman

If we go by the past where Rielly, Brodie, and Muzzin u got

Sandin-Liligren
Gio-Holl
AHL call up-Timmins, Benn, Mete, etc

So there's a big difference between that group and this current one as they aint using AHL guys or youngsters out of desperation. They got 8 (9 if u really include Timmins) good Dman who deserve playtime

With ROR out makes no sense to go 12-6 as what u want Simmonds in

Idk with the way hes been playing recently and the fact we got 9 useable Dman

Rest Gio. Last night not great again for him and it seems hes slipping a bit.

For a few games go

McCabe-Holl
Rielly-Brodie
Gustafsson-Schenn
Liligren

As for Gustafsson honestly slow start but I feel Keefe likes him. As notice the ice time be going up having more than Gio and Liligren

Since the McCabe, Lafferty, Schenn, and Gustafsson additions the Leafs at 5v5 are:
CF 279 CA 313
SCF 153 SCA 170
HDCF 43 HDCA 79

That last one is not a typo (I had to check twice)

When u play the oilers twice with McJesus on a tear in one month that tends to happen

Records not great but loses to Van at home, a struggling Buffalo, and one game against EDM was almost a given

Still did well against NJ, second game vs. EDM (minus goaltending), and CGY

As the saying goes got to find different ways to win and while stats are ugly Leafs have been doing it. Losing ROR also doesnt help the sheet.
