Blues shouldn't be signing any ufa to multiple years. They should be focusing on retooling and moving out players

I dont understand how they let the Penguins of the hook. They could have gotten an asset for taking Kapanen's cap hit. This is as bad as 2020 when Armstrong traded a 2nd to Mtl for Marco, a month, a damn month after the Sabres traded Scandella to Mtl for a 4th.

Armstrong has no clue how to use leverage.

I dont think the Kapanen move is necessarily bad tor the Blues since he only has one year left on his contract and isn't necessarily a cap dump, but Army does a lot of dumb stuff. Then again, if not for Bouwmeester having a heart attack they wouldn't have had to trade for Scandella.
