Quoting: Koskinen_The_Great
This coaching staff seems to be a lot better than expected. Winning far too much lately. I wouldnt mind a shakeup with St Louis. Now he has players not even looking at the ipads on the bench during the play. Hughes needs to step in. Setting a culture when most of these players are gone in 3 years is kinda pointless.
I agree with his move , as he said it selfish to do during the game
You're ignoring the team element to do something more appropriate when plays stopped like Intermissions or Tv breaks.
Things about MTL is we're not into interfering with our Coaches
We let them play their system and its yielding results .
TBL has a culture of high turnover but their GM well GM's were smart to get maximum value finding Gem's.
Take the Drouin trade for example, They gave up a ready now player who was 3rd OA for Sergachev a prospect taken 9th OA i believe it was.
At first it looked like TBL gave up value in order to get a player at a position they needed.
In the End though TBL being saavy got a 2 time Stanley Cup Championship level D out of it.
MTL can do the same thing if we are smart about the minutes we give them.
Move all the Vet's out Matheson include and leave the rookies to tank or rise on their own.
They have multiple Former NHL Pro's on their Coaching staff alone who can help them from an experience POV.
Right now should be about Harris and Ghule taking on a similar Leadership Dynamic as Weber and Petry.
But really the only people who has to worry about not being here in 3 years arent part of the rebuild.
Allen and Savard have kept using this line "willing to plant seeds knows they wont ever sit under its shade."
They know they're gone as soon as a younger player they're guiding pushes them out.
Eddy hasnt said it but im sure he knows it.
Matheson is the only one who might take it hard , but i doubt it .
