Of course it does. Holmstrom is a good young player. Bailey a good vet to have around the kids. All for just moving down a few spots in the draft.

Bailey would cost a 1st to move. If Arizona wants a good vet they can sign one for league minimum in free agency

Good luck attracting an NHL caliber UFA then. Nobody of any value is going to want to sign for Chicago.
Take the deal and move on. Holmstrom good and young and Bailey is overpaid but still serviceable on a bottom team.

Hawks aren’t even looking for UFAs outside of what we are gonna flip at future deadlines. Even then we have lots of tradable assets for 2024 deadline.

They will be. They won't put out a team of young kids. Your GM is going to need some placeholder ufas to insulate the young players...and to put at least a borderline NHL caliber team on the ice.

Holmstrom also doesn’t have value , he’d pass through waivers if he needed them
