(Spooner isn't that bad. 45 point average is pretty good for a 2nd line wing, not as good as Marner @61, but still decent)

I'm not sure there's a way that I can downgrade the 90 point potential of Marner to the 50 point potential of Spooner. I really feel that Arvidsson is the only way it gets done

I maybe see Marner in the 70-80 point range depending on who he plays with. 90 points may be possible but not a lot of players have broken that threshold in recent years. Patty Kane and Sidney Crosby both had 89 points last season... tied for 2nd. It's getting harder to rack up points. If Crosby couldn't get 90 points last year, I can't see Marner doing it either.

But still 50 points to better than 0. Plus I'd be adding a considerable amount. It also allows your second line to be Spooner-Kadri-Kapanen

JVR-Bozak-Kapanen

I like Marner a lot as well, but I think you're over valuing him a little

As high as I could go would be Silfverberg and Steel. That's a legit top 6 forward on a sweet contract and a first round centre prospect for Marner. I'll throw in my 2018 sixth rounder to prove you beat me up in negotiations. I'm sure that you have other offers to consider. Let me know.

I probably am overvaluing him, but I'm a Leafs fan. If we talked to a Red Wings about trading for Larkin they'd say something completely unreasonable. For Marner I'd either need a good replacement for him and more, or a bunch of high-medium quality players to really give me a lot of scoring and defensive depth throughout my lineup

I'm going to decline the Staal offer. If you want to try and add more, you can, but his contract is too heavy as it stands and I'd need more compensation for taking it because him as a player isn't enough
