    He's on a 35+ contract, even if he retires his cap still counts next year

    I never said he was bad. It’s a heavy contract for what he produces. Montreal fans thought they’d get a second and Bourque and all sorts of other good stuff but then had to settle for Matheson. Another decent player on a bloated contract. I’d swap him for Faksa and Suter and a sweetener, but if there isn’t at least some bad cap going the other way I don’t see many takers
