These are bad choices. Very very bad choices. Disastrous, franchise destroying choices.

Arizona won't be trading there 1st. Rebuilding teams don't trade picks, unless for an upgrade in pick, which isn't happening here

The trades are bad for the boston bruins. You have to know that already.

Isles have been all in since they got Horvat. They aren’t selling on Nelson. I have to assume that ownership will give Lou another year, and when you are 80 years old you aren’t planning for the future. I expect the isles to attempt to acquire at least one additional top six forward and a top four puck moving d man this off season.

Yeah Nelson isn't going anywhere. At least not right now. Check back in the 2024 off-season when we may need some cap space.

Trade Ullmark instead of Swayman, it makes no sense to deal your significantly younger 1B goalie, especially when you can get a better return and save more money by trading your 1A. DeBrusk is going to be a top 9 wing for the Bruins for the next 6 years at least. Carlo is a staple on RD till the end of his deal and maybe beyond.

Bruins fans have to accept that the Bruins will not have a legit 1C for a long while (3-4 years) once Bergie retires. They don't have the assets to trade for one and will not have the cap space to sign one.

Not a fan of top 4 Aho and while Romanov has been significantly better as of late I’d want an insurance policy. There is also the possibility of acquiring a third pair righty who can play on the PP or PK.

If you’re looking for a puck mover there aren’t many better values in the NHL than Aho. He ranks as the best puck mover (by far) on the isles while playing borderline elite defense

The issue is that he doesn’t deny zone entries at a high rate.

Aho?? That’s the best part of his game. And then he makes smart decisions to move the puck up the ice

You don’t have a defensive impact like this without being good at denying entries

I don’t usually look at Dom’s cards anymore NGL. Andy and Rono + Jfresh are my go to.

Jfresh has Ahos impact at like a 88% WAR this season. Andy and Ronos microstat cards most likely have him at around an 85-90 overall

He’s actually at 87% lol. But he is denying zone entries at a 19% clip.

ARHockey at 19. Jfresh at 7. Highest zone entry denial rate belongs to Romanov.

What’s the overall for AR. Ok so I stand corrected. Aho doesn’t deny entry, he’s just elite defensively (according to Jfresh and other models) .

It comes down to - would you rather Romanov (who is good at denying entry and a liability once the puck is in the defensive zone) or Aho (who can’t deny the blue line but is great defensively in the defensive zone

Because based on all the data from multiple platforms, Aho is the far superior defensive player (this season)
