That seems rich for a DeBrincat trade.

Washington also has something like 7 mil in cap space for next season, don't see how they could possibly afford DeBrincat even if Milano goes the other way.

Here’s the thing, if you trade debrincat again he’s just going to walk to UFA after his $9m qualifying offer, so you’re basically shopping him as a rental. An $8m X 7 years is the same amount of money after his qualifying offer as re-signing an $8m X 8 would be, and he gets to pick his team, any decent agent would be highly recommending that path.

Ehhh... maybe not, I don't think he wants to be in Ottawa long term, but sending him to a legit team or a legit good city, then maybe he gets comfortable.

Yzerman is trying to build his MIchigan roster, so, maybe Detroit for Zadina, Cossa and two 2023 2nd's (Detroit and St-Louis) or something along those lines.

Seattle or St-Louis could probably make something work too.

Detroit is pretty much who I had in mind that he’d walk to in free agency, I could see zadina, the blues 2nd, and the 24 Boston 1st. More than that and I think he just waits it out to see if he hits free agency

Zadina said he would never play for Ottawa so there's no way Ottawa tries trading for him.

He wasn't happy at draft day they passed on him and said he would fill Montreal and Ottawas nets with pucks.

Maybe if Ottawa trades for him, he can at least fill them in Practice, his 5 points in 25 games might necessitate a change of scenery, and I don't think he's exactly in any position to dictate where he wants or should go.

It’s bad business to trade a guy you just extended for three seasons. Hence, he won’t be traded.

Secondly, mantha isn’t a cap dump at this point, but his value is very low.

Well, the fact that the Caps want to trade him + his big contract + his poor play + nobody having cap room = cap dump.
