Description

Be able to roll 3.5 legitimately good lines.

Hextall wants physicality, Lawson Crouse is exactly that but he also provides value offensively. Him getting to play with Zucker and Malkin should work well, and that also allows Rust to play on line 3 with Granlund who gets a good shooting winger.

Arizona gets 2 more high round picks for 2 players they can sell high on.

Very easy no from Arizona. Crouse is going to be the next captain and valimaki has 17 points in 18 games taking over for chychrun. 0 interest.

It would cost the 3rd just to take on Rutta.

If you really want him, you can have Valimaki for the 23 1st. AZ will keep Crouse.

That's not near enough for Benning. He's established himself as a strong 2nd pair rhd this year and he's cheap as chips for three more years. Not close

Your franchise has no direction. Turning down a top-20 pick for Lawson Crouse would be an incredibly stupid choice.

Regarding Valimaki, he's the only d-man that worth anything on the Coyotes, someone is going to have to chip in offensively. This isn't what his true talent level is. He's a 3rd pairing guy if he's lucky on a competently run team.

That's your view of him, and even though it's mostly correct, it's probably not what Mike Grier thinks. He's gotten ripped off in every trade he's made so far and there's a good chance he doesn't view Benning as highly as he should. be viewed
