Lowry will go on a two month stretch where he can't score, but on a team with a woeful lack of leadership, and heart, he is important to keep. He's a candidate to wear the C next year.

"top pairing" is interesting when he can't even make top pair minutes on an awful habs team. He'd be 3rd pairing on Edmonton unless he plans to switch to the right side

He was their best D until he got hurt. Nice try. Savard ate more minutes so Guhle wouldn't get killed on an awful team.

No, he doesn't. But he has the potential to replace Nurse down the road. Much more complete defenceman.
