I mean, we are clearly trending up, but I don't know if we are interested (or if he is interested). We were gonna get the #7 pick and murray for #16, i think that was the main interest.

We have 3 goalies under contract, although we definitely need to make a move there.

We are paying more to dump Murray than Mrazek. Murray has been significantly better than Mrazek was last season. It won't cost more to dump him that it did to dump Murray (moving back ~10-15 spots in draft from 1st to 2nd round)

Murray is owed 8 million next year, significantly more than his cap hit which is not attractive to the teams with space. He has 1 less year on his deal, but the actual money owed isn't much less. I'm not saying the trade cost here is accurate, but depending on how many teams are willing to take the contract it could potentially cost more.
