The Vegas one is quite bad for Vegas. Like one of the worst trades I've ever seen on here

A bottom-six forward for a d-prospect with at least 3rd-pairing upside.

Not sure what y'all think Krebs is worth, but I just haven't seen it yet.

While Krebs is decent prospect, he may be the forward prospect to be traded.
I think the Sabres could get more than a RD prospect taken in the second round.

Krebs is only playing on the third line because of who is in front of him. He is being sculpted into the ideal third line center, after playing some fourth line duty to add some grit to his playmaking abilities. I think the Sabres might like for him to become what Sean Couturier became for the Flyers. Maybe you recall that despite him being a top 10 pick, they started using him as a third line defensive center because of who they had in their lineup in front of him. Within a couple of seasons he was a clear shut down center, who could still put up some points while doing it. Krebs is still a 2nd year player this year, and obviously still young. Much too soon to give up on him now.

A playmaker has to be able to make passes that are consistently on target. Mitts has turned into that this season. When I watch Krebs his passes are off, many times way off and it seems as if there are at least a couple of egregious passes per game that end up on an opponent's stick headed the other way (or worse, headed directly to the slot for a HDCA.) Just watch how hard his linemates need to work to fetch a puck that Krebs passed to them. I first began noticing this in last year's Amerks playoff games and it really hasn't gotten better, or if it has, only slightly.

Edit: the player that's in front of him the most is waiver-claim center Tyson Jost.

Who knows? Maybe next year economics will allow for jalapenos to come back.

Mitts has taken some time to hone his passing skills. I think playing him on the 3rd line where his skills overmatch his opponents has helped. Jost and Krebs have worked 3rd or 4th line interchangeably, but Jost is also a veteran. Krebs is still 20 with time to learn and grow, and this year was about seeing strides in his game which we have. His passing needs to get better, and he probably needs to add some muscle to his frame in the off-season. I want to see how he comes to camp.
