At this point the florida pick is a mid teens pick and that player has a pretty solid chance of being a better player than laf. From his own draft lundell jarvis guhle mercer schneider were all picked 12-19 and laf isnt materially better than any of them (and worse than a few)

If florida finished bottom 11 in either of the next 2 seasons calgary doesnt get the fla 2025 pick and the habs get calgarys 2025 1st with only top 1 protection.
