Description
This is my hopeful rebuild. Laviolette doesn't get resigned, caps win draft lottery. Backstrom and frank will switch on a load management basis for backy, frank will probably play 40 games at 3C. Laine trade may take more capital, wouldnt mind throwing in lapierre/Mcmicheal if needed. Caps have been long rumored to trade Kuzy even if they wont admit it, and laine seems destined for a new home after three losing seasons consecutively.

well its a 1 year contract and a B- prospect for a cap dump, he probably is better than 1/2 of the hawks current lineup.

I think equivalent value of 2 firsts for someone who has struggled to stay healthy is pretty fair, but I also said in the descirption i would trade mcmichael or lapierre for him if they dont like the package.

We would rather have the Ppg 24 year old than 5 assets. Especially inter division. So no your offer isn’t close.
We are also rebuilding. Why would we get significantly older for minor assets. While trying to get younger we trade a corner stone winger for scraps and an old center with *questionable history*


Caps should do it right. Suck for 5 years and build through the draft.

why would backstrom have to split his play time with a 25 year old player who never worked out
