Description
I’ve seen a few Pionk trades on here, can someone give me the lowdown on what he has to offer? What it would cost to get him?

Luke Schenn seems like a good 3rd pairing shutdown guy that would pair well with a rookie to allow them some freedom. Most comps I’ve seen for him are 1x$1 in Toronto so I figure a little extra to come to a rebuilding team, plus Tor AJMs are usually unrealistic in their player evaluations.

Other potential suitors for the right side:
in house: Wallinder (not ready), Chiarot (line killer), Tuomisto (prob not ready)
Trade: Myers (not great but could get an asset for taking him and he’s possibly better suited than Chiarot as a partner for the kids), EK (not a chance a trade that eats enough of his horrible cap hit is feasible), not sure who else would be available (do Calgary or Florida sell in the off-season?)
Free agents: Severson or Dumba (too expensive, reminiscent of the Mike Green experience)

Other signings.
Anderson to back up Husso: Husso needs a solid backup and I think Anderson will be available. Swap out any legit starter here that can be signed to a 1 year under $5 mil deal if you want (I just picked Anderson).

Killorn: Det needs to fill the hole lost with the Bert trade. Killorn can play up and down the lineup, is a proven playoff contributed, and is familiar with Yserman and Lalund. Not sure if we could get him on a 1 or 2 year deal but it’s a minimal risk signing IMO if so.

There are some UFA RHD available this summer. Wings are in the position to pay maybe even overpay for a short RHD. Schenn, Holl, Gudas and 28 year old Clifton. But agree you maybe Poink is the guy.

I forgot about Gudas, he’d be a good fit too I think. I don’t think Clifton would be a good fit though, he plays a little to loose, similar to Chiarot, I don’t think he’d pair well with Edvinsson but maybe Maatta.?.

Los Angeles has short-term (Sean Walker), long-term (Sean Durzi) and future (Jordan Spence) possibilities who should all be available.

What do you think he’s worth? Do you think he’d sign a 1 year at that?

Come on, you've got three 2nd round picks in this upcoming draft, can cough up one of them for Pionk.

Pionk is a possibility maybe even demelo from Winnipeg. I like the idea of taking a flyer on Calen Addison who seems to have fallen in Minny. I think it's gonna be a blah vet though. Holl plays 18 minutes a night in Toronto and can kill penalties he makes sense with Edvinsson probably.

Pionk is physical and decent all around, would be a nice partner with Maatta. He played above his level when he first came to Winnipeg and I think they are disappointed he didn't keep that play up.
Schenn would be a very good add for Edvinsson partner. I would stay away from Gudas just because of the whole Mule incident.
