You are going to need to cheap wingers like Podkolzin and Hoglander when the Canucks begin paying for EP and Hronek's extensions in 24-25... They need to be jettisoning the expensive wingers they already have—not adding more!

Blues don't really have any spot for Podkolzin.

If he were traded you're probably looking at something extremely similar to what you paid for Kravstov as well.

Canucks aren’t trading Podkolzin. No reason to trade Boeser for Labanc. Don’t mind moving Hoglander but I’d rather keep him. And no reason to sign Bunting

Boeser for Labanc has some logic, sharks get the better player but Vancouver gets cap space next year. With the stagnant cap Boesers value is lower than if there was a significant cap increase. Still don’t think Vancouver does this but sharks might.

Yeah, the Blues would rather keep the 2nd. They have other areas to deal with, their wing stable is stocked.
