dammmn, the two last trades are impossible. The value of calgary's player is lower than that.

your right but Lindholm would get a lot of attraction to teams like this on the cusp of being a playoff team they would be inclined to over pay in some sort of way

teams would have to pay an arm and a leg for Taffi maybe not 2 firsts but for sure 1 and 2 2nds

I would say you're most likely to get a Mark Stone-esque return, a high level prospect and depending on the quality of said prospect a 1st or 2nd. although I don't see Calgary blowing it up. get rid of Sutter and let Huberdeau get an offseason in and gel with the team more, having Lindholm and Kadri as your 1C and 2C is a good luxury to have

He's a solid player who had a great year, but he's also only broken 50 points 1 other time. With 1 season left on his contract, his highest value is probably at the TDL and won't be from Buffalo who is flush with scoring wingers.

I also wouldn't hold my breath on getting substantially more for him than what the Flames paid to acquire him. A top 15 pick in this draft isn't happening when other teams know Calgary has cap issues. Look what Bjorkstrand or Patches got last year. The recent wingers that got the kind of value you expect were guys who were younger, and had RFA years left i.e. Fiala, DeBrincat, Meier, and Reinhart.

I'm sure your right it wouldn't be as high of a price but Buffalo could use a player like Taffi I don't think it's too far fetched of a trade their would be conditions on a first or 2nd and more likely it would be a NHL ready prospect attached or a low end 4th liner. If anything this would be a trade that could happen in the off season if taffi is traded lets say in December then I would doubt flames get more than a 3rd rounder

I don't think Lindholm is going anywhere either but if he is I'd expect an outrageous over pay for him.

I mean not a horrible trade for the snes at face value.

However, the Sens would have to decline.
Hannifin is Left Handed so is Chabot, Sanderson, Cykyurn, Kelvin & Branstrom, so they really can't take on any more left-handed D.

The Kraken are already a playoff team, maybe they would have some interest in trading for Lindholm to solidify the top six, but the return won't involve their franchise cornerstone.
