I think the canucks would have to pass, its not a bad deal though, I just think that we would have to back the brinks up for him and we arent in the place for a 7.5M winger when we have miller who will be that in 3 years

It would entirely come down to what Debrincat wants to do contract-wise. Canucks don't do this if he's committed to signing a 1x9m, and eyeing UFA next year. If he's willing to sign longterm at a reasonable contract, then they probably do it.

Canucks decline. They need centre and defense, and winger is by far their deepest position. They also want to clear cap space, moving Garland and Beauvillier clears $9 mil, but most if not all of that money would go into extending DeBrincat. Value is pretty good in the deal but it doesn't fit their needs at all.

so 2 overpaid 3rd liners and a 2024 first for Cat, if they were not overpaid each by 1M i would do this, this solidifies OTTs 3rd line (with Pinto Center them) and they could use that first to get Konecny. also remove OTT 2nd
