IT'S NOT HAPPENING.

Cap fans keep posting this same asinine trade or something close to it for the last two plus weeks. And they keep getting told the same damn thing everytime.

Minnesota doesn’t do this. They have ZERO interest in a retained Kuzy, which they STILL can't afford even after the retention, and they're not moving the assets it would require either.

I'd love that MIN trade to happen but don't think MIN does.

Hard pass on Scheifele, he isn't that good or worth all of that. Use the same package to get someone better.

Don't need Zadorov.

I'd do that VAN trade.

Even at $6,000,000 per, No way can the Wild afford Kuznetsov. Wild pass rather easily.

Mark Scheifele waiving for a Caps team heading for the crapper. Yeah i somehow don't see that happening.

Winnipeg accepts. Not going to get a better offer than that.

I can't imagine Washington would be on his 10 team list.

Like it or not, Washington needs a major rebuild. Ovi has 3 years left and i don't seriously see Washington making a run during those 3 years. They're going to get a very good player at 8th so they can start building up their prospect pipeline once again.

I agree with you. I just think he could find 10 worse teams to be traded to than Washington. Who wouldn't want to play with Ovi?

I like a lot of this and think you’re on the right track. Scheifele is worth more I think but he’s tough to put a price on and what Winnipeg will do this summer.

IF Zadorov were Traded to the Caps, Flames would prefer Alexander Alexeyev + Vincent Lorio over Picks

When a team has only $7M to sign 7 players, including Gustavsson, there's no interest in a player they can't afford. Retained or not.

I'll relax when I stop seeing the same asinine trade that's been posted 15-20+ times in the last two weeks in various similar packages by Capital's fans. Where they've been told the same thing over and over.

At what point does it sink in that Minnesota cannot or won't make this trade?

None of these consider Minnesota's cap issues at all. How is a team that has $7M in open cap space this upcoming offseason to fill out 7 roster spots, including a stud goaltender in Gustavsson, supposed to fit a $6M Kuznetsov? How do you expect a team to fit 6 more players on their roster with only a million dollars left in cap space after this trade?
