I dont know how anyone could watch playoffs so far and think this team doesn't need to get more physical. It's how to league is right now and you need it to win these days. Intensity has been off the chart and I think if we made it we would've gotten crushed in the first round.
Getting good hockey players is far more important as the goal of the game is in fact to score more goals than the other team, not outhit the other team. One of those has a perfect correlation with winning games, the other has almost 0 correlation with winning games

Believe it or not there are good players that also play with physicality. In fact, we had one that scored the game winning goal to clinch our second in back to back cups.
There’s a difference between playing physical and being disciplined. And the Leafs are the second one right now. And that’s on no one but the players. Not Keefe, not Dubas, the guys on the ice.

The Leafs just cannot play playoff hockey for some reason. But what I'm saying is we need more physicality. I'm not saying go get a bunch of goons who only hit and not anything else, but players like Hornqvist who has grit, made us tougher to play against, and had a net front presence. We need a few of them on D and forwards

I'm well aware, but when ppl suggest brining in physicality, they generally want guys like Ryan Reaves, Nic Deslauriers, or Austin Watson, not 2020 Blake Coleman or 2017 Patric Hornqvist. There is a massive difference between the 2

My bad for the misunderstanding but I was suggesting more Blake Coleman/Hornqvist type
