We now have cap flexibility for the next 2 years at least, we can give prominent ice time to our developping prospects, we have a potential starter goalies for the upcoming years without being too attached to him in case he flops, 2024-25 we try to make playoffs and 2025-26 we are a really serious team in the league

No — if we trade Gibson it is because Dostal is ready to be the starter so will will sign a UFA backup

At worst Dotsal is already as good as Montembeault.

From a Ducks perspective he is better and thats before factoring in him being 4 years younger.

If Gibson is traded I think its safe to assume we'd be taking a goalie back, or we resign Stolarz

Ducks arent giving up a second for a backup/3rd goalie

If you can get a 2nd for Montembeault, take it.
Same with Edmundson.

Forget about Hart if that's the price. Goalies just don't get that kind of return.
Schneider for a 1st and Kuemper for a (late) 1st and (conditional) 3rd when Colorado was desperate. That's it in the last 10 years.

Boeser trade is probably close enough, but I wouldn't do it.
Anderson trade doesn't work for either team.

MTL isn't giving the 37th overall pick for Boeser. Too much for Hart, a late 1st is probably enough.
