Calgary fans would have to take that.

Can’t wait for their fans to chime in and say not enough lol

It's not a value problem, its a quality problem. I would rather have Weegar on the top pair compared to Jokiharju who would be a 3rd pair d man for the Flames and Peterka who would be a middle 6 forward, which we have enough of.

Odd that weegar only plays the 3rd most minutes (and closer to 4th than 2nd) if he's top pair

Weegar would be great, but the length of that contract is a bit troublesome. Plus, I think Peterka has top-6 potential and could very well end up with a Tage-like value contract in a few years.

Sutter didn't mix the d pairings until late in the season so when you look at the average TOI, yeah, he's 2nd pair. If you watched him play he can play top pair and did closer to the end of the season when they started to mix pairs.
With Hanifin having 1 year left on his deal, Weegar-Andersson will be the Flames future top pair if he doesn't re-sign, possibly even if he does.

Thats what happens when you aren't put on the powerplay. He has the 2nd highest ice time at 5v5. Anyways Flames aren't interested in trading Weegar at all

Agree. Weegar good but wonder what Carlo or Pesce would cost? Lots of picks and prospects to add two long term valuable players has compared to ufas available

Putting some high comps on Neuchev, I see. tears of joy

If his play on the ice rhymes with Kucherov, that's pretty good!

No doubt. Those guys don't play on our bottom six.

Timing is the issue for me. We're competing now. If JJP continues on his current trajectory, he's not yet one-for-one replaceable by any of those guys you listed. We don't want to open a top six hole while filling another. Next summer, his value should be even higher and one of Savoie/Kulich/Rosen should be ready.

I wouldn't move any of these assets until we can get peak value for them.

Patience is still required.
