    Not a bad offer for PLD to be honest. Especially when you could just wait 1 more season and sign him for free.

    I honestly think the Canadians should just wait for him to be a UFA. While you are giving a lot to Winnipeg for him, they are all pieces the Jets don't need. We need a right side dman, a good 1 or 2 center and a high pick in this years draft. In all honesty, look at Dvoraks stats. He never plays a full season and is a defensive liability, best suited for a 3C or 4C slot. Kidney could be a 1 or 2 C but the Jets don't have time to wait. They cannot rebuild, it has to be a retool here or the fans won't fill the stands and we will leave again. Norlinder is a LHD which we have plenty of. While I do think money and a chance to win will win over Dubois for who he chooses to play for. I think a 2023 Fla 1st, and Barron would be the ask from Winnipeg. Not sure MTL gives that up or not.

    Too much. Comparables are Chychrun and Horvat.

    Chychrun = 1st (12th overall) + Two 2nds

    Horvat = 1st (18th overall), Beauvillier, Raty

    Using these comparisons something like 1st (17th overall), Dvorak, Kidney is enough. Adding two more seconds on top of that is an overpay.

    Norlinder has minimal value, if any.

    Edit: You have $12M in cap space... why give away a 3rd to trade Armia?

    It may be enough value wise for Dubois, but the players involved are not what Winnipeg needs. Our prospects at center and left defence are deep,

    Never mind the return -- Los Angeles isn't taking Joel Edmundson for one season at full price. We'd much prefer to spend more to sign a free agent for 5 years.

    We might pay a future third for Edmundson with 50% retention to play #3LhD for one season.

    What are WPG's needs right now? Dvorak would be a stop gap replacement for Dubois as the C prospects develop, the 1st is a good future piece (up to the Jets what they do with it), Kidney is a good comparable to Raty value wise, but if he isn't a fit what would you want for a prospect?

    Buffalo would have no interest. Two years at 3.4m for a third?

    Kidney is good, and will probably be good. We just have a few Centers as good coming up through the AHL. Dvorak is at best a 3C and honestly would only be the 4C on Winnipeg's team because I don't think he is better than Lowry. He also never plays anywhere close to a full season and just really isn't that good stats wise. He is not something we need even as a stop gap. All we need right now is RHD. We don't have many prospects in that position that are ready to turn pro. Of course the 1st round pick is useful as long as it is this years and not the 2025 as proposed in other trades.

    Justin Barron seems like a good fit for WPG, however habs would be big on him as they don't have a lot of RD (right now) and he is also a better prospect than Raty if we are still referencing the Horvat trade comparison. Can't see FLA's 1st being on the table if Barron is involved.

    Dvorak is more productive than Lowry (3 more career points in 199 less games), he is ideally a 3C but he brings a different dynamic than Lowry which would allow him to play up in the lineup if required. He played 2 consecutive full seasons before coming to MTL (which has shutdown several players because they are tanking) so I think the the health concerns are overstated, he is also only 27 years old.

    Fair assessment. I think the thing that puts Lowry ahead of him is his defensive/shutdown game. Plus he is not afraid of the rough stuff. I think Barron and maybe MTL 2nd could get the deal done, but that is just my opinion.
