I don't hate the deal from the Habs perspective, we are after all getting the best player in the deal and we aren't giving up a top 5 prospect either.

Yeah and it works for the jets as well which is the best part. Sure I understand there can be some hesitancy but but ultimately I feel like this deal works for both teams involved even tho both probably want a better deal

Just give the Jets the 1st and be done, because everything else is not getting the other two players and before you say anything, Hoffman is not a good value.
