Description
Suck another year, develop whatever top 5 pick is selected in the '23 draft, let Dubois/Suzuki/Caufield/Matheson/Dach all cook offensively with less pressure, develop some chemistry, and hopefully see some major development from Guhle and Barron in order to get established as decent top 4 defensemen, allow Slafkovsky's upside to shine brighter whether its in the AHL or with the team.

Sign a goalie in 2024 offseason, draft some decent assets, playoff bubble team by 2025, playoff contender 2026, and cup contenders going forward!

Seems like a decent proposal for PLD. Winnipeg fans won't like it. Maybe make that 2024 5th into a 2023 3rd. But close enough. As long as Florida loses in the first round that is.

I don't believe Edmunston is a cap dump. You shouldn't have to add a 2nd of your own there.

You can take the second going to Montreal out of the Detroit trade. We have no room for Edmundson is all so if you want to send him there it will cost you. Other teams like LA or Columbus might be interested in him.

He isn't an upgrade. We have 5 LHD for next season with 2 more basically ready for the NHL.

Their third pairing sucked, some combination of lindstom, Hagg, and Oesterlie. Next year they will have Walman, Maatta, and Edvinsson on the left. They still lack a 2RD as of now and I do t think Edmondson fills that roll.

Edmondson is a LHD. If Yzerman wanted to play a LHD at RD, they'd play Johansson.
