I doubt that Swayman takes 2.75 x 1 year after winning the vezina.

Here's the Bruins dilemma as I see it. Ullmark has restrictive trade clause, so he won't be waiving to crappy team or teams with cap. Yeah, Pittsburg might be a team, but then the Pens have all the leverage, yea we'll take Ullmark but certainly aren't giving up a first for him. Even at that Swayman could be tough sign. Does he really want to sign short term for under market value. Would he sign an offer sheet at 4.3m...which only costs a second rounder?

Nope. We’ll keep Jarry and it’s not even close with that offer.

1. Smith isn’t going anywhere. 2, Joseph isn’t going to be traded for a goalie, if he’s traded it’ll be for a young bottom 6 forward. 3, Smith AND Joseph BOTH are not going to be traded. 4, we aren’t moving our 2023 first.

Very insightful, I’d love to hear your reasoning of why 2 young defenseman are trash who both haven’t even played 3 full seasons combined…

Oh okay - it’s because they’re not good at playing at the NHL level. They’re a big part of why the pens weren’t good this year.

A vezina caliber goalie with 2x5 left on his deal, and an actual good d man, for two inferior d men and a mid round first is highway robbery.

Maybe because as I just said, they haven’t even played a combined 3 NHL seasons???

What are you talking about? No one mentioned anything about this mock trade but you saying POJ and Smith “suck” in which you still haven’t backed up, other then saying a bunch of nothing lmao.

It’s a subjective take…..how am i supposed to back that up? That’s like asking what someone’s favorite color is and then saying, “prove it.”

Actually everyone other than you that has weighed on this trade thinks its a no go from boston. Because of course.

That’s like saying “Connor McDavid sucks but since it’s subjective how can I back that up?” Do you realize how ignorant that sounds? Lol

Yea it’s a no from Boston because Ullmark isn’t waiving to Pittsburgh and because we aren’t moving our 2023 first. Has nothing to do with Smith and Joseph in the deal. Of which Boston isn’t going to even ask for those guys in the trade….

It’s a no from boston because the value sucks. Let’s not change the hypothetical. Good teams don’t want players like POJ and smith. You think there’s maybe a reason smith spent two years in the NHL and then got demoted to the AHL? That’s pretty much he worst sign for a player.
