Arizona would be smart to grab those guys. I really like Boqvist, but I wonder if he can be a real 3C on a great team, but wouldn't complain if he started as our 3C in October. Walsh is a guy that needs a legit chance to show his stuff at the NHL level but the RHD depth is too much in NJ

I don't think the Isles would sell that low on Wahlstrom. Smith is 2 years older than Wahlstrom and looks like a 3rd liner. Wahlstrom has produced when he's been allowed to play; for that alone I think that the Isles only move him if it's a part of a package for a more established NHLer.

Isles aren’t trading wahlstrom for this package. He’s injured but that doesn’t mean he’s worthless.

Devils have no incentive to trade those two. They should both be on the roster unless Nemec has a super impressive camp. If we were to trade one or both, I'd be looking to make a package for a better player, and if not I'd want a 2nd for each of them.

My view on them is similar, I'm only trading them if we have upgrades.

Likewise. Trade Boqvist only if it upgrades 3C spot.

I'd move Walsh in right deal (or if we extended Severson)
But would probably lean towards giving Walsh a year to prove himself...and if Nemec is ready for 2024, trade Walsh then for even higher return.
Nils Lundqvist got a 1st rounder at start of season...Walsh should be able to get at least a 2nd today. Maybe a lot more if he has a strong rookie year.
Besides, in order to preserve Nemec's slide, we probably need to keep Walsh for 2023-24.
