It works on paper, but Florida has three puck moving dmen on the back end. Adding a 4th wouldn't be ideal

True, Avs need to spice the offer a bit, perhaps with a prospect

Avs reject the FLA trade. It would be a straight swap or nothing. They also reject adding a 3 mil third pairing D man.

Panthers will keep bennett unless it’s for like toews. I dont know if you’ve seen him in the playoffs but he’s the one of reason we’re doing okay against Boston.

Yeah, they will never do a one-for-one-trade with Sammy G. My thoughts is that they already are loaded at C and maybe need another top 4 D, so if the Avs can add a little extra I don't see the trade as impossible.

Yeah at the beginning of the year I would of said yeah one for one but now I see bennett with more value than girard

Maybe so but they sure as hell shouldn't get Toews without a significant add. I'd be happy with 1 for 1 on Girard or maybe a small add like one of the numerous RFA prospects the Avs have, otherwise it's a pass for me.

We’ll just buy him out and keep the 3rd. Cap hit next year would be 333k.

I dont think girard is worth bennett anymore. But I’d be okay with bennett and a second for toews or something similar but I’d rather keep him. He’s been so much better than barkov these playoffs and that helps moving forward.

Avs should decline that offer too. I hope Bennett does keep playing well for you though. From a neutral PoV it would be awesome to see the cats knock off the bears.

I dont expect to but I hope. But if it wasn’t for a ****ty pp and giving them power plays all the time. It would by a closer series. We’ve been out playing them 5 on 5 for most of the games plus ullmark looks horrible and we’re just not getting the second chances he gives us all game.

You may get Jon Toews but Devon? Come on!

He may price himself out plus they have 4 good d man with another playing on the third pair. They need a second line center who can perform in the playoffs.

Good point but Toews is just to good to trade away with his contract. They should definitely keep him and try to make other moves to get their 2C

I would rather play Toews at 2c than trade him for Bennet
