Maybe day of draft trade Detroit could do it. If the draft board sets up that we could replace Kasper with that Vancouver pick. If Dvorsky or Moore was still there maybe.

The sens need a number 1 goalie, but I hope it's not Demko. If we made this trade it means both our goalies would have history with knee injuries. If anything, I would want the sens to go after Hellebuyck if he does become available.

Kasper is non-negotiable. Don't care who it's for.

But even if he was, this is still a very bad trade. 9OA and an A+ prospect is waaaaay too much for DeBrincat+11OA. I don't care that he was traded for 7OA+2nd+3rd, this year's draft class is astronomically better.

The red wings are not trading Kasper and I doubt we have interest in trading valuable assets for players the size of 96% of the nations grandmothers.

No offense to DeBrincat he’s a good player. Just not for Detroit.

Does Debrincat for pick 9 straight up get it done?

No. Yzerman isn't trading that pick.

Is Demo that much better than Talbot that Ottawa pass on 18th, 43rd and a player like Kubalik? Basically you have lowered the return for Ottawa and raised the price for Detroit. For this to work for Ottawa you need a bonafide #1 goalie and Demko is 39th in SV% and 47th in GAA.

I believe Demko is far better than his stats this year but this I don't think makes alot of sense for us.

laugh Is this a freaking joke? Kasper is an 8th overall pick plus a 9th overall pick in a very deep draft is a major overpay and you want our 2024 2nd on top of it. For Debrincat and the 11th overall pick. What a joke you owe us more not the other way around.

I might be the "Sens fan who suggested this" but I did NOT mention Kleven to be part of the deal

Kleven is not a throw in prospect, he's a beast in the making. Immediate no

I mean Cat was literally traded for the pick before Kasper + 37th overall + 3rd round pick.

Yeah and this draft is 5 times more deeper, Than last year's draft.

So lets break this trade down

DeBrincat was traded for 7th overall 2022, 37th overall 2022, and 2024 3rd round pick

This is essentially DeBrincat for Kasper, 37th overall 2022, and 2024 3rd round pick + one extra pick for going from 7th overall to 8th overall.

Now lets cancel out the 2024 3rd + extra pick from going 7th overall to 8th overall, and cancel out the 2024 2nd round pick.

This essentially leaves us with 2023 11th overall + 2022 37th overall for 2023 9th overall which if you asked me, sounds pretty fair value wise, if not a little overpay
