    20 man rosters are not a thing,

    Garbage return for Swayman. Bussi gets the backup job if they trade a goalie. Don’t need one coming back.

    going rate for a back up with good numbers is a 2nd round pick, remove the 2 prospects and OTT accepts

    Except he’s not a backup.

    And the last time Boston traded a goalie that age, that situation…they got a 1st and Kuraly. And Sway is much better than Jones.

    Anything less than 1st & 3rd in terms of value is not happening.

    The whole "mutually assured destruction" offer sheet deterrence thing only works if the retaliation is immediate. Who knows if it's even the same front office 3 years down the road, either for the Bruins or for the team sending the offer sheet? Some GM who's gonna lose his job the next summer if his team misses the playoffs or whose team has a rapidly closing window to contend isn't gonna balk at an offer sheet cause the Bruins might retaliate 3 years later.

    If Jeremy Swayman were made available which he won't be, That joke of an offer would be easily beaten by other teams.

    And you can't run a functional team with only a 20 man roster.
