After Toews departure, not many leaders/experienced guys left on that team. Also, Eddy had a great relationship with Richardson in MTL. Hawks can then flip Eddy at the deadline.

Hoffman had 1 PPG last year, he’ll definitely supercharge our powerplay.

Best case scenario, Hoffman and Edmundson are traded to cup contenders, with retention. That description doesn't fit ARI or CHI.
Both of these team would probably be open to take on these contract, but only at negative value, with picks in their favor.
