Way too much to dump Petersen's contract. A 2nd and one of JAD or Madden is reasonable.

I think Walker is worth a late 2nd or early 3rd to a team looking for RHD help.

I would say Grans and a 2nd is probably enough (high 2nd and low 2nd value is about right). I certainly would not say no to all the extras.

Like the other two have said that's way too much to give up to dump Petersen. Secondly I think that's way too much term for Gavy, 5 years maybe 6 but that would be pushing it.

Agree that trade is way too much, but the Hawks would have little interest in Madden or Dolan. The 2nd and Grans might get it done (Grans actually fills a need) or else it will be two 2nd's and probably a small sweetner.

If the Kings were actually willing to give all that to dump Petersen (unlikely they would) and Petersen wouldn't block a trade I'd totally do that from a Jets perspective.

1) Gavrikov won’t resign for 2yrs $3M. I don’t know why certain fans don’t realize how FA works. Even giving him 8yrs at $4.5M will look small down the road, with the cap going up a lot in the next 2-4yrs.
2) Besides Grans & the 2nd Rd pick, that’s not a lot lost by LAK. Madden & JAD are nice players, but they have don’t have a place in the Kings future. Too many prospects, not a lot of playing time. Getting rid of $5M x 2yrs is big these next two seasons.
3) If the Kings don’t resign Gavrikov, or trade away Petersen, what is the solution to improving this team & getting them to the next level??
