Generally I like Vancouver as a Marner fit - but you don't have the assets we want. What you've offered doesn't get it done for Toronto

Leafs wont want middle six and bottom pairing defenceman for Marner. IF he is available this summer, which I doubt he will be, it would likely mean a full rebuild. Leafs will ask for a young forward and defenceman, both who have a high ceiling, and multiple 1st round picks.

I actually disagree about Marner meaning a rebuild.
I think he could be moved as a retool.

Regardless - Canucks don't have what We'd be interested in

He will garner a similar return, slightly higher than what Eichel got which was a 1st, A prospect and Top 6 forward. there's a 1st, Lekkerimaki, and instead of one top 6 forward. VAN gives up 2 middle 6 wingers who can produce at a top 6 pace when played with elite players, a bottom 4 dman, a 3rd pairing D and a 3rd.

Value is about there for CHI. The nitpicking would be on the prospect or whether its just a 2nd and 3rd coming back.

Karlsson skating and weight are potential concerns holding him back from being a regular NHL player.

2 middle 6 wings arent worth 1 top 6 when they get paid that much

Hate to break it to you bud but we don’t have to move an asset if nothing of value is in return

He's probably going to request a trade and you guys could definitely put the cap space to better use

Yea I’m sure he’s real unhappy in New York, he def would wanna go lose the first round of the playoffs every year too.
