have said it many times before but I think the caps buy out Mantha before they give up significant assets (and 38oa this year is definitely significant) to move him. The extra 1.7m in cap space is not worth the downgrade in this draft especially

Much like Isles fans started the Bailey dump trades and TOR fans started the Murray dump trades, Caps fans started the Mantha dump trades, too. CHI fans are just rollin with it. But it doesn't really matter who the dump is, it is just an example of the kind of cap dumps CHI should be willing to accept.
