I am beginning to think Murray may be the Leafs 1B goalie next year and Samsonov will be the one moved. Woll looks like he may be the best of the 3.

I can get on board with all of this. You don't think a top line of Domi - Bedard - Laff would be better? Domi could provide some protection for Bedard? Reichel and Raddysh on the 2nd line with one of T Johnson, Dixkinson or Guttman at C? Guttman at 4C seems like a waste to me.

I’m open to the line combos changing, although I think Myers will provide enough protection for Bedard on any line.

I don’t know, it’s telling to me that they started a rookie over Murray in a win or go home game.

I had this conversation with a buddy last night. Murray hasn't played much at all for 2 months now and is coming off a concussion. He maybe comes in and plays lights out and then it's a master stroke. If he shows some rust and it costs them the game, that's a nightmare situation. Had it been 2-1 in the series, maybe you go with Murray but down 3-0 starting Woll makes sense. He played fine in game 3 despite the loss so you know he's game ready and isn't rusty. If he loses, oh well it was a rookie and the all the fingers would have been on the stars. If he wins, it's fun and exciting and you see where it goes.

If Samsonov is hurt for more than this round, (hypothetically speaking) Murray absolutely could see time if Woll falters. Who knows how he plays, he did win 2 cups and that doesn't happen by accident. He knows what to do mentally in big game.

The Leafs take it if it's the Ottawa pick coming back imo. We moved back 13 spots to move two years of Mrazek's $3.8m, it shouldn't cost us more than that for 1 year of Murray at $800k more. If that's really the price, the Leafs are better off buying him out for just $700k this year ($2m in 24-25, but there's practically nothing committed and they can work around it for 1 year)
