Think the Devils would want an NHL player back for Bratt, maybe a 2023 1st, 2024 4th, and Rasmussen?

It seems reasonable to me. I love Bratt. But wingers usually get less than many people expect. The comp people should be using is the Fiala trade. So something like NYI 1st and prospect in Wallinder, Mazur, etc range.



They are going to try. He had cold streak at absolutely wrong time, so people are overreacting a bit to his playoff performance. Over the next few weeks, we should know. He has had a extension offer since the deadline that he has not yet decided on. And in previous years, he has waited to very last minute.

Prefer to stay patient and get there in a good cap situation. Rasmussen will be a nice middle six player on reasonable terms and with size that can hopefully translate to a strong playoff game. Add in young guys on elc’s or their second contracts and I think Yzerman is building this properly. Everybody is getting jumpy to get someone like Bratt or Cat but we aren’t there yet and I wouldn’t bother unless we got them for a very good price. Bratt doesnt make us a cup contender and losing 2 good pieces hurts the future
