No reason to get Bean, Raddysh seems to prove he belongs. Also Cirelli's value is kind of unknown at the moment. The lightning have been overpaying recently though so I don't know how this would go.

I think a mid first is the right value for Mittelstadt at this point, I just don't think the Sabres are looking to move roster players for futures anymore.

Picking up Bean will solidify the left side and hes an RFA after next season so we can either keep him or move him later on. Cirelli has decent value as a two way 2C and had the best playoffs on Tampa with Killorn and Hagel. He is slightly overpaid but he could be the 1C on Columbus for a long time and that contract can look like a steal in 2 years

Oh I completely agree Cirelli is a great player, I don't see him as a 1C personally but I get where you are coming from. I still think you could take it another way as Raddysh is solid, maybe recoup some more draft capital instead of Bean as currently the way you are sitting you have a sixth and two seventh rounders.

Raddysh will likely swap with Bogosian assuming he has a better camp. Love Raddysh's game alot. just figured Bogo's game will be better next to Bean and when Raddysh is put in, they can either go 11-7 or move Cernak down and do Bean-Cernak and Sergy-Raddysh

Thats fair, personally I think you could also do better than Mittelstadt for that first rounder as well. He is a decent young player but you could probably get a better second line option there.

I think the jackets see sillinger eventually developing into a cirelli type center. I think they would rather keep him and gamble on him developing

As much as it pains me to let Sillinger go, I'd do that deal. I'd probably even be open to increasing the offer. Cirelli could serve as a perfect stopgap 1C on a growing team until Leo Carlsson is ready for the role, also serving as a defensive compliment to the wings Columbus who are maybe not the best defensively (Laine, Gaudreau, etc) and relieve Jenner's workload. The LAK first and Sillinger are a solid return, and Jake Bean is basically a magic bean at this point after a year lost to injury.

Sabres decline. The value of Casey Mittelstadt could be debated in a vacuum, but to the Sabres, they have a utility, 60 point forward at 2.5M, RFA expiratory. His age fits with the majority of this young team and he's essentially declared publicly to be a part of the Sabres long term. He is certainly a tradable asset, but for what pick 22 provides this version of the Sabres, it's not enough. The Sabres, in order to trade him, would likely want a similarly aged player, a need like Erik Ciernak, or much higher first round pick to deem worthwhile.

I think the only other pieces Tampa would be interested in wouldnt be available. IE: Jiricek, Ceulemans, Chinakhov, Mateychuk. Maybe some kind of package of players instead of Bean and the first to go with Sillinger like 1-2 of Knazko, Dumais, DBB, Bemstrom, Foudy, Blankenburg, Svozil
