Description
Say NJD like Markstrom and lose out on Hellye. This deal could happen despite the no trade clauses because of the Lindholm trade and sign.

Obviously Markstrom’s stats are going to be a loud rebuttal on here but NJD likes the advanced stats and Markstrom has always seemed to be an analytics darling (I know this year he was bad either lense)

All good pieces, but not a path we would go down. I’d prefer Timo over a year of Lindholm. Would rather keep Vitek over Markstrom.

If Devils moved Timo, younger pieces with term would likely be the target.

I'd much rather have the younger goal scoring power forward than the older 2 way center (who I view as a 2C)

And Calgary would rather have a top 6 center so the trade is flawed to begin with

Flawed trade if you think our future centre solutions will arise out of a Lindholm deal. I don’t see that happening. This is a messy retool.

Lindholm is a perfect winger complement for NJD I would think. But then why wouldn’t you just keep Meier. I’d much rather have Lindholm L/T over Bratt.

Basically I was looking for homes for Markstrom and Lindholm as a package. There aren’t many options. Buffalo. STL.

Yup 100%, in NJ he's either a 3C or plays with hughes in the haula role. EIther way he's filling the haula role, and while it'd be a nice luxury, it's not one I'm giving up meier for. Bratt maybe
