That’s way too much for Toews. Don’t trade for a defenseman unless you strike out on the free agent market.

Not a bad offer for Toews (not mind-blowing either) but I'd rather the Avs just re-sign him if he's going to do a 4 x 6.75.

A top pair dmen for at best a #5-6 dmen and 156 pounds forward probably never play in NHL and à late pick (with this roster you will be a good playoff team)
Avs need is a center swap pick and Rosen for Mittelstadt and Avs accept.

What 1D are available in UFA? Besides that, do the Sabres even need Toews? Also, this isn't nearly enough in actual value for Toews and the contract he would be looking to sign is a lot richer than 4x6.75

Even if this is a reasonable offer, Buffalo would never do this.
When Toews was 24 yo he was playing in the AHL.
Jokiharju is 23 and has completed his 5th season in the NHL!
Primarily, Henri has too much potential to be traded as part of a package even for a solid LHD., but also this deal would leave Buffalo with only ONE RHD under contract.
Please do not under estimate Rosén, he is playing against men in the AHL and has 2 goals and 6 pts in the playoffs.

Buffalo doesn’t need a number one defenseman. They need a number two or three to pair with Owen Power. There are several of those available in free agency, and all they need is one of them.

No they don't. Middlestat is not a 2c or anyone the Avs should trade for.
