Getting a right now lhd prospect makes no sense with Samberg establishing himself as a top 4 guy this year, jmo under contract for 5 more years, Dillon, Stanley, capobianco and Chisholm all needing waivers and Heinola needing a spot. If it was a prospect lhd like Hutson then maybe but the pick moving from 17 to 28+ is a huge difference.

None of the deals work for the Jets at all.

The Montreal deal is on the low side with Harris having no value to the Jets. The "rumour" turned out to be from a Montreal fan blog. Nothing reputable.

If the Jets are trading Scheifele, they will have to restructure at least a little bit. So, they aren't going to be looking for an old, expensive, bad backup goalie and a meh winger. They can easily get better than that.

Same with the Hellebuyck trade. The Jets aren't including DeMelo or taking back a player that will be 25. They'll be looking for picks and/or prospects and ELC's.
