Wings pass most likely, trades away 40 goals and a solid prospect to get 1 40 goal scorer back. Doesn't seem worthwhile

Carter Mazur is going absolutely nowhere, He's our next Tyler Bertuzzi. Other than that Detroit accepts.

Some team might give you a pick for Joseph but it won't be the Hawks

As if we don't know our own prospects. Trying to sandbag Mazur.

Fabbri probably won't even play 30 games next year, he was a throw-in to the trade. So in reality, Detroit gives up a 20-goal scorer, a good prospect and a 3rd for a 40-goal scorer.

Mazur is a non starter. Surrounding him with a **** sandwich doesn't make it happen.

Ok but Detroit only had 3 players with 20 or more goals and let's be honest without Kane DeBrincat is a 30 goal scorer. Mazur is one of Detroit's top 5 prospects. Now Kasper and Edvinsson are at the top of that list. Kasper will make the team out of camp and Edvinsson would as well but after shoulder surgery he won't be back until some where around September or October. That pushes Mazur in to the top 3 in Detroit's system. Detroit can't afford to trade a 20 goal scorer and a top prospect for what amounts to 10 more goals.

What about Hanas, Kubalik and 2024 2nd (DET) and if he scores 40 goals that 2nd becomes 2024 1st (BOS).

I'm not sure why you'd want Fabbri and his $4M cap hit but add him to Ottawa's return if you want.

Does Hanas have an NHL future? I don't know much about him.

Fabbri has very little trade value around the league but I'd want to take a flyer on him to see if he can get it together.

Fabbri with $1 million retained, Kubalik, Hanas, and a conditional 2nd works for me. Bonus points if you take back Mathieu Joseph.

I didn't realize how good of a prospect Mazur is. Which Red Wings prospects would you include in a DeBrincat trade that Ottawa would actually value?

I'm not very interested in acquiring Cat to be honest. If it's a good deal then sure. But I'm not willing to give up good prospects for him. Most I'd offer is a 1st, 2nd and Kubalik.

Essentially I'm not going to trade more than what Ottawa paid to get Cat. And I have no interest in taking Joseph off your hands.

Honestly, I might do that offer. The Sens can use those picks to acquire one or two more players and we might end up a better team for it.

Don't get too much better. We're still catching up. And those damn Sabres. 😲

My heart tells me the Sens are simply too good not to make the playoffs next year but then I look at the Maple Leafs, Lightning, Bruins, Panthers, Sabres, and Red Wings and I'm like shiii...

Realistically, 7 out of 8 Atlantic teams are either good enough for the playoffs or right around the corner. Montreal sucks and will stay that way for a long time.

I think he will be a middle 6 forward he is very good offensively needs to round out his game and play better defensively but you can say that about most young forwards. On the same ranking that has Mazur at 5 has Hanas at 7. He doesn't move the needle as much as Mazur but it why I switched the conditional pick to a 2nd with the possibility of it becoming a 1st.
