Too much term for Sammy, not enough salary for Acciari, too much salary for the cannibal, why are you even signing Lucic and that cap hit for him is horrendous, not enough salary for Domi or Schenn, too much salary for Kulikov. Goodrow's worth more, it'll cost more to dump Murray, Nylander's worth wayyy more than Konecny and the Leafs certainly wouldn't be adding in that swap, Brodie's worth quite a bit more, the bottom six is atrocious, Domi isn't a good fit for the top line.

If your first move is to sign Samsonov to an 8-year contract, you might not be GM for long.
I can tell you're trying to add grit to the lineup that will help them come playoff time. However, you'd be best-served adding that type of player at the deadline than over the summer.
I doubt Severson signs a new contract after a solid season for what amounts to a $500k raise per season...but, who knows.
Other than the unlikely Severson signing, you do nothing to improve the Leafs defense which is an area of need.
