  4. 2023 1st round pick (ARI)
Additional Details:
Arizona makes a big splash by agreeing to terms with AM to a max contract, 8 years, and captaincy. Arizona's move helps in negotiations of keeping the Yotes in Arizona by signing a home grown generational talent for years to come. AM gets to captain his home town and is seen as a savior of the franchise. No immediate roster players taken so it gives the Yotes a chance at the playoffs.
ARI
  1. Matthews, Auston
  2. Murray, Matt
  3. 2023 1st round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
With Knies, Woll and potentially Robertson/Lilly/Sammy all coming into frame as potential key pieces, a Leafs reset could make sense to explore. Rebuild the team without a top heavy approach like Dubas created and instead focus on spreading out the talent through out the team.
2.
TOR
  1. Marchenko, Kirill
  2. 2023 1st round pick (CBJ)

The Jackets need a top center, not another top 6 winger. That 2023 pick is untouchable for anything less than a U25 1C that can be signed long term.

Detroit can’t make that trade. Marner is the better player right now but Detroit isn’t a Marner away from playoffs. He could leave in two seasons and the Wings would be left without a number 1 RW and a future top4 D for the next decade.

If he could be extended, depending on what contact he is wanting there could be a deal to make.

Marchenko is a no go. Guy is cost controlled. He had 21 goals in half a season. He is untouchable.

Yeah I edited the trade with an extension negotiated prior to trade. I can only see Leafs trading away their core 3 if Austin does not agree to an extension by July 1st, 2023.

Didn't know it was in half a season, damn seems like a sick prospect, prob would have to add way more to entice a trade there.

Edvinsson is a no and that's way too much for marner.mkjey wise. Wings won't pay this guy that much or give up Edvinsson for him. Leafs are kind of hamstringed because nobody can afford him. You are going to have to take less then he's worth because of his contract

Gotta be honest the Jackets and their fans love this kid. He has got that it factor. Funny of ice but seriously skilled on it. I don’t think the Jackets could trade this guy at all right now.
