Durzi is available, but the Kings have less than zero interest in Garland.

Yotes trade makes perfect sense. The kings trade is a no go and makes little sense for Vancouver anyway.

For the LA trade, I thought the kings were trying to move one of their rhd based on reports I've seen. Is that not the case anymore?

Canucks would love a rhd

Would love to see Graves as Hronek's partner on the 2nd pair, shutdown role.

OEL - Bear would be a reasonable 3rd pair too

Just need a partner for Hughes. Really don't see Durzi as the guy there though.

They wouldn't want money back that's for sure.

Good addition to have Durzi in the Canucks defence department.
Don't know if the Kings are buying in on Garland.

From a roster point of view, Los Angeles declines because the Kings already have 13 forwards under team control for 2023-2024 who were on the roster at the end of the season, plus forwards moving up like Jaret Anderson-Dolan and Alex Turcotte, so that Garland doesn't represent someone we need. From a cap point of view, every bit of our cap space has to be directed to re-signing our RFAs, especially Gabe Vilardi, Rasmus Kupari and Tobias Bjornfot, so any trade not directed towards an LhD has to be cap-neutral, and this would increase our cap by $3.25 million (which is almost half of our current cap space).

Makes sense, trying to figure out a hockey trade for a rhd and garland.
