Well when you trade 2 of their best players and overpay the goalie - yes - they're going to be in a bad spot. And leave 7.5mil in cap space.

It would be better if you suggested Buffalo Pettersson, not Guentzel.

Buffalo declines. Here's why, Guentzel only has 1 year left on his contract and that is pretty much it. There is also the fact that Rosen was a first round pick, He is scoring left and right on the power play in the AHL. You might be able to trade Guentzel during the year and get a first, if you hold some salary.
