You're over on the Zucker and ROR contracts, and way under on the Jarry one.

Not sure Vancouver takes that either lol

Would love than VAN trade for either him or Garland (would add more for him). I would laugh hysterically at VAN paying to move Garland, and see Boeser as a reclamation project similar to Raks from ANA

I saw the EH contract projections, but I would be SHOCKED if PIT gives Jarry a significant raise. He's HATED in this city rn with how inconsistent and injury-prone he's been (and the fact that everyone always loves the backup). Not saying he doesn't get that elsewhere, but giving him a big contract would be suicide for the new GM's popularity here.

I think hated is a strong word. Fans know if he's healthy he's a top 12-15 goalie in the league easily. I don't think he should receive that contract either from the Penguins, but if Pit goes "Hey we will give you $3.5x2 and someone else is going to give him closer to $6M + term... pretty obvious what he'd take. The goalie pool this UFA class isn't stellar, Jarry is the top candidate so someone will most likely overpay.

Could just be the "bubble" that I'm in, but I've seen some ppl say it was one of Hexy's top 3 mistakes to keep Jarry as the starter and would be the number 1 mistake to keep him this summer, but yeah, I agree, he's not that bad is a capable starter when healthy and yeah, could certainly see a team overpaying him and the pens not resigning him.

I don't think it was a mistake to keep Jarry the starter, but i think it was a mistake to not add a goalie at the TDL. He had a bumpy year this year but still a .910 sv% and 2.90 GAA and the players in front of him weren't helpful half the time. He was borderline top 5 goalie in the league last season.

To be fair - GM's don't give out contracts based on what a few idiots on social media say haha

I depends what you quantify as significant - but the guy is obviously getting some kind of raise

Who's they? I though we were talking about a few Pittsburgh fans on social media, no? That's what my comment is referring too.

Oh - my bad lol. Your comment reads like you're saying the GM wouldn't give him a raise because of fan opinion - so that's what I was referring to

Didn't EH give Jarry like 6x6 or something like that? That's obviously too high - but he's clearly getting a raise
