2027-28 after aggressive rebuild

Description
This team would go from around the 20th best prospect pool to a top 5 prospect pool. A lot of the prospects would be a ways away from being NHL caliber players so it would be committing to a long rebuild. However, there’s a lot of long, immovable contracts so it might not be the worst thing to ever happen. Only way I could see something like this happening would be if Doug left and someone new came in with the green light to completely restart. That won’t happen and even if it would, the Owners probably still wouldn’t allow it but it’s fun to mess around.

This is a look at 2027-28. This would be aggressive with 4 picks in 2023 draft and 2 in the top 10.
2023 NHL draft
#9- David Reinbacher
#10- Oliver Moore
#25- Dmitri Simashev
#29- Oliver Bonk
#42-Theo Lindstein
Would be my ideal draft. Some pretty optimistic thinking forsure but ya never know. This would be 5 years down the road with great development from all top prosepcts including this draft.
A few roster needs down the road that should hopefully be filled by draft picks over the next 4 years of being fairly bad.
After looking back, probably over valued Buch a bit. Don’t think we’d get their first pick but maybe the islanders 1st or they leave out willander for another second or something. Idk, I’m not a GM.

What the hell is that Detroit trade? Not even in the ball park. I was expecting to see Thomas or Kyrou heading back to Detroit for that kind of package.

Clearly none of you read cause I said looking back that trade was way to much but go off. Also, you’re undervaluing buch. If we were to trade him, which we shouldn’t, he would return slightly less than timo Meier considering his skill and contract.

Buch is a better player than both Thomas and kyrou, sure there’s shorter control but on a super team friendly deal.

Buchanan is not worth the 9OA pick and a high defenseman prospect. He is good but not that good. On top of that he is 28 and does not fit the Wings time line.

Sure he would, you got him for a 2nd and he has injury problems, wings pass you can keep him

laugh laugh Buchnevich doesn't come close to getting that kind of return, We can get Konecny for much less or target Schmaltz or Keller. No thanks on Buch he's not the kind of player we'd be targeting and Wallinder sure as hell isn't getting moved. Add Kyrou to the deal and we might listen.

You might be the only fan in the world with that opinion.
