Trades
1.
EDM
  1. Bratt, Jesper [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
CapFriendly doesn't let me do 3 team trades, but in essence
Devils get: Hellebucyk
Jets get: an Oilers 1st, Bourgault, Yamamoto, Vanecek, and a draft pick from the Devils
Oilers get: Bratt
NJD
  1. Bourgault, Xavier
  2. Yamamoto, Kailer
  3. 2024 1st round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
I see Bratt as a comparable to the Kevin Fiala trade, who got back the 19th pick (in a weaker draft) and a prospect that's inferior to Bourgault
2.
EDM
ANA
  1. Ceci, Cody
  2. Foegele, Warren

Traded individually, to any team with interest.

Devils decline. If for some reason Bratt doesn't extend (he will), and for some reason the Devils can't make a hockey trade for another high impact winger (DeBrincat) or a goalie (Saros, Sorokin), then this offer gets beat by anyone who offers a 2023 pick.

Also Faber is better than Bourgeault. (THW midseason rankings, 25th vs. 82nd)

If Bratt was willing to sign that deal, he'd be a Devil again already

laugh That's not even close to getting Bratt out of New Jersey, And i seriously doubt that Bratt takes anything less than 7 x $7,750,000 on his next deal.

First, Brock Faber is a better prospect than Bourgault.

Second, we don't need cap space or draft picks. Or prospects, really. We would want an age 20-24 player who is already in NHL in top-6 or top-4 role.

Third, if Bratt is being offered for trade, it means we have not been able to sign him, which probably means his cap hit is north of $8 million.year.

Fourth, no one is paying that much for 1 year of any goalie.

And...if you are going to use the Fiala trade comp....also use the Fiala contract comp

$6.8m x 4 years ($27m) is a long ways from $7.875m x 7 years ($55m)
